After the 2nd Test of the 2025/26 NRMA Insurance Ashes Series in Brisbane, we've put together two hosted extension tours before the action begins again in Adelaide.
Choose between Kangaroo Island, often referred to as the 'Galapagos of Australia', and a trip to Tasmania with its own picturesque and unique landscapes. Both tours conclude with a stay in the famed Barossa Valley.

Extension Option 1 - Kangaroo Island & Barossa Valley
Embark on an unforgettable 7-day extension to Kangaroo Island and the Barossa Valley. Begin your adventure with a flight to Kangaroo Island, where you'll stay at The River Suites and enjoy a private, intimate tour of the island's wildlife and natural beauty. Highlights include the Island Life tour, Seal Bay Conservation Park, and Flinders Chase National Park’s Remarkable Rocks. Explore the East End with visits to Pennington Bay, False Cape Wines, and wildlife sightings.

After four nights, fly to Adelaide and enjoy a 3-night stay at Kingsford The Barossa, where you can explore the region's renowned wineries, including private tours with winemakers Dan Standish and Phil Lehmann. Enjoy a day of relaxation or adventure with activities such as a hot air balloon ride, a 4WD tour, or a visit to local galleries and parks. Extend your Australian adventure with a 7-day tour through Tasmania and the Barossa Valley.
Begin in Hobart with a stay at the luxurious MACq 01 hotel, which will be your base for the first three nights.
During your time in Hobart you will visit Port Arthur, Australia's most intact convict site, where your expert guides will recount tales of the convicts who once lived within its walls.You will also enjoy a visit to Bruny Island, with a guided cruise along the islands rugged coastlines with it's towering sea cliffs and deep sea caves.
We then continue to Freycinet National Park, home to world’s most beautiful beaches, Wineglass Bay, where we will spend two nights at the charming Freycinet Lodge. During our stay we will enjoy a cruise onboard Schouten Passage II, during which be captivated by the breathtaking scenery, abundant wildlife, and the rare opportunity to intimately connect with one of Tasmania's most extraordinary destinations.
Following our stay on Tasmania we will fly onwards to Adelaide, where you'll transfer to the Barossa Valley for a 3-night stay at Kingsford The Barossa. The Barossa Winemakers Tour will offer a rare chance to meet renowned winemakers, Dan Standish and Phil Lehmann, to sample their exceptional wines. The tour concludes with a visit to Cleland Wildlife Park, a hands-on wildlife experience, and a gourmet lunch at Adelaide’s Central Markets.
If you're going onto the Adelaide Test, you'll be transferred to your city hotel on the last day.
