Kapama Southern Camp is set within the Kapama Private Game Reserve and surrounded by the vast expanses of Kruger National Park.
Tucked away in the north-western corner of South Africa, this nature reserve is teeming with wildlife, including the ‘Big 5’ game species: lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants and buffaloes. The camp, then, is a perfect setting to view these iconic creatures firsthand, while enjoying relaxed luxury along the way.
Set out before daybreak on a game drive to catch the majestic animals at sunrise, before returning to a hearty breakfast. Bush walks are also available, and keen photographers can even arrange a photographic workshop.
In the heat of the day, a central lounge, swimming pool and dining area provide the perfect place to stretch out between wildlife experiences. Come evening time, you can dine under the dazzling stars in the outdoor boma, whilst enjoying first-rate cuisine prepared by the lodge's chefs.
High-ceilinged, thatched suites are air-conditioned for your comfort, while their plush comforts are accented with local artwork, lending a sense of place. Not that you’ll need any reminder of where you are; floor-to-ceiling windows open out onto the natural beauty that surrounds the camp. Seven luxury villas and three spacious family villas – all with private pools - complete the accommodation options here.
Indeed, families are well catered too, with children of all ages welcome at Kapama Southern Camp.
